Dear Worshiping Ones:
What an incredible start to our Year of the New Song Celebration! An amazing portal of sound is forming to usher in a prototype for going beyond where we have ever been! I encourage you to find your times to enter in and let your new song break forth! You can find our complete schedule HERE.
Firstfruits Celebration for Shevat!
Tomorrow morning, I look forward to our Firstfruits Celebration for Shevat. In this year of “firsts,” every Firstfruits is important. I will begin by leading our time of Breakthrough Revelation. Then Robert Heidler will teach on “The Month of Shevat: Getting Back on Track with the Tribe of Asher!” Let’s prepare to celebrate with our first and best! If you would like to give a Firstfruits offering at this time, you can donate online, by calling our office at 1-888-965-1099 or 1-940-382-7231, or by postal mailing your donation to Glory of Zion, PO Box 1601, Denton TX 76202.
Understanding Firstfruits: The Seed for Your Future!
I previously shared how one of my friends from Houston, Penny Jackson, was struggling to understand Firstfruits and how it related to her monthly paycheck. She has continued to ask questions and seek the Lord for greater revelation. I loved what she wrote with recently and believe it may help some of you as well.
“I have struggled so with the idea of firstfruits. Where my bi-monthly salary was concerned, I haven’t been able to divide it out from tithing, which is embedded so strongly in me. Even after hearing Robert teach on it with your comments following it, I still had some confusion. I couldn’t let go of the ‘giving 10%’ part and didn’t see how it fit into firstfruits. It just didn’t feel right to me.
“I don’t tend to let things drop when I don’t get them, so I kept after you with questions. You had prayed that I would get it, and I finally did with one final text you sent to me: ‘But when you start with firstfruits, then you always go beyond tithing.’ That’s when I got it. The Lord has given me the ability to tithe twice a month, so for me to give my tithe wasn’t the best I could give – it wasn’t a firstfruits. But when I take that 10% amount that I have and add to it whatever beyond I can offer in my basket, this offering becomes my firstfruit.
“I really don’t think the enemy wants us to get this, so it seems like he confuses the issue. I know some of my friends have been confused as well... not so much where the idea of giving the proceeds from your first book or that kind of thing is concerned, but where set salaries are concerned. I am so grateful for this new level of understanding!”
