A New Movement is Brooding!

Dear Overcomers!

Peter Wagner’s Birthday Celebration last week was awesome! A mantle passed and a new season was launched. Peter has written a booklet about his future: The Fourth Career! He is a true Caleb—80 years old and ready to take the mountain. Write or call if you would like a copy of this booklet. You will also want to get Peter’s new autobiographical book of memoirs: Wrestling with Alligators, Prophets, and Theologians. (see below)

At our Firstfruits Gathering this past weekend, I heard the Spirit of God say,

“Take a TURN! When you turn, that which has you surrounded will turn. You have entered a moment of the turning and like a lock that is being aligned for an opening, you are turning in such a way and burning in such a way that the seal that was sealed up against you can no longer stay sealed! I have a fire in you that can come alive and cause the enemy to be pushed back. Allow this fire to come alive. I will surprise you and meet with you in a way that will be unusual. That which you didn’t have marching orders for, will come. You will gain a new order this week! (I thought about this word from the Lord when I saw the troops coming home!)

“You say, ‘That which I saw as a cornfield is now beginning to be parched, for my vision has grown dry.’ No, it’s not parched. It is not being lost; it is getting ready to be popped. Instead of that which you have seen out in the field, growing parched, watch it come alive and pop before you!

“In the midst of that tough situation you’ve been in-- that narrow, difficult place-- you thought I had lain down and gone to sleep. I AM AWAKE and I AM standing strong! If you will open up your emotions, you will stand tall and walk on through with me. You are not shrinking to get through this narrow place, but I am stretching you tall. I am watching to see how you stand in the midst of the fiery place around you. In your standing tall, I will stand taller! You will make it through and into the new.”

Deborah DeGar will be ministering on “Who is the King in the Field? (Psalm 24)” At 10:15 AM we continue with our "Power of Use" Service with more worship followed by Robert Heidler ministering on “Becoming the New Wineskin: Transferring the Apostolic Mantle!” If you are unable to join us on Sunday morning, you can watch the "on demand" webcast replay through Wednesday evening.

Fuel the Movement!
One of our goals at Glory of Zion is to see that generation equipped and liberated to transform a society longing for something lasting to be passionate about. On Saturday, August 28, we will have a special kickoff for Fuel the Movement. This will begin with worship at 10 AM, and meet throughout the day. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Speakers include Karen Vaughn, Joseph Pierce, Jack Smith, Keith Pierce and me. Aaron Smith will be leading worship. This will be an incredible day of “Defining the Movement,” “Gathering a Generation,” and “Displaying the Heart of the Movement”, and “Activating Your Fire!”

Hello to All who are Young at Heart! As you know, Apostle Chuck has announced the beginning of FUEL--the Movement! This Movement is for High School students and young adults through age 30. I consider it a great privilege to assist him. We have developed an Apostolic Council to oversee the younger generation. That council is: Chuck & Pam Pierce, Linus & Karen Vaughn, Aaron & Tiffany Smith, Tyler & Sarah Vaughn, Jack & Neelka Smith, Joseph & Cynthia Pierce, and Cap & Shantel Hogan.

Next Saturday, August 28th, has been designated as the kickoff day for FUEL. It is time for the fire of God to stir and move in the next generation! Below is the schedule for that day.

How we respond to our boundaries and our disciplines is how we will overcome in the season ahead. Leaving the Narrow Place to See the King in the Field

This was a unique Firstfruits Weekend Gathering where we focused on the Rosh Chodesh blessing for Elul, breaking the power of fragmentation, and celebrated Peter Wagner’s 80^th birthday.

On Friday night, Robert Heidler shared how the Lord designed the Hebraic month of Elul as a time to meet Him in our “field.” If we are willing to seek Him, He will show Himself strong in whatever circumstance we may be. Saturday morning was led by Chuck D. Pierce and focused on “Breaking the Power of Fragmentation.” He shared how God has designed a cycle of life for each of us, and how the enemy longs to traumatize our development so portions of our soul are fragmented and never develop fully. Our morning concluded with questions on how to determine if one is fragmented, and a time of healing spirit, soul, and body.

On Sunday morning, Dr. Peter Wagner provided an incredible example of apostolic transference of authority as he set in John Kelly as his successor in the International Coalition of Apostles, and Chuck Pierce as the recipient of the inheritance of Global Harvest Ministries. In the second service, Peter went on to share various stories from his and Doris’ life. Highlights from the “Birthday Bash” for Peter’s 80^th birthday are also included in this set.
