Remembering a Warrior
I have to this day never met anyone like Diane Buker. Unique. Though I traveled the world with her, she always made me feel at home. She was like God in that she never seemed to change in her disposition and outlook on life. She made us all very confident because she was on our team. I knew that if a fight broke out in the Spirit, we would win.

I would always say about her, "Diane, if someone has to be sent into the midst of Hell, we will send you first!”  No place of darkness in the earth realm or spiritual dimension seemed to bother her because she was always filled with the Glory.

I am reminded of the movie Glory. This movie was about the 54^th Massachusetts, an infantry regiment composed of black volunteers, who overcame discrimination and hardship to move together as a regiment in the Civil War. There had to be an invasion of the enemy stronghold with the Standard of Flag preceding the troops who were following.  The portion of the movie that affected me the most was when the Standard Bearer lifted the flag, rallied the troops and ran toward the fort. When this soldier could go no further, he relinquished the standard to another behind him then who rallied the troops, ever moving forward. The undying faithfulness of the Standard Bearer kept the standard moving forward into enemy territory.

Jesus, who came to destroy the works of the enemy, created a standard by going first to redeem mankind.  Diane was like the Standard Bearer.  Jesus could always count on her to go before the other soldiers, carrying His standard. He knew that she would not shrink back in the fight. She would enter the most hellish wars with the enemy on earth. Eventually, the enemy's territory would be invaded and the Standard of God would be established that would determine the future consequence of that territory.

Now see her as part of that cloud of witnesses throwing that standard back to us and saying, "Keep pushing forward!"  She pressed into Glory and she is saying “the war on earth is worth the vision of the King."   To David and her children – thank you.

For the month of August, we will NOT be gathering onsite on Tuesday mornings at 6:00 AM for prayer.  Instead, we will replay key prayer gatherings that you can watch by webcast.  Just go to www.gloryofzion.org and select “Webcast Information” for a complete listing of all of our webcast replays. 

Please note that we will continue to have our “Getting Over the Hump and Taking Our Hill” service on Wednesday’s at noon.  So, everyone is welcome to join us onsite each Wednesday this month.  But on Tuesday mornings, make plans to join us by webcast only.

A Time of Vexation
These are times that you must stay in faith. Without faith, we cannot please God. I am finishing writing the book: A Time to SEE: Moving Past the Enemy’s Vexing Power.   The Hebrew word mehuwmah (meh-hoo-maw') means confusion or uproar leading to destruction, discomfiture, trouble, and tumult.  When your spirit is vexed, your whole life seems confused.  I love the book of Deuteronomy which records where Moses reviewed all the Law, Torah, and the wilderness wanderings of a people. The children of Israel had been vexed for the last 40 years because of decisions they made that were influenced by unbelief and fear (Numbers 14).  However, now the time had come for the people to move forward past the confusion, uproar, and trouble of the last season.

Moses explained all the blessings that were available to this people in the future if they would obey. He then shared about the power of vexation coming on them, spirit, soul, and body, if they did not follow after the Lord’s way. “The Lord shall send you curses, confusion, and rebuke in every enterprise to which you set your hand, until you are destroyed, perishing quickly because of the evil of your doings by which you have forsaken me [Moses and God as one].” (Deut. 28:20, AMP)  This is the concept of vexation that is linked with our disobedience to the Word of God.  There comes a time to leave your wilderness and enter into the next level of prosperity for your life.  However, if you will review every one of your wilderness times then you will see that the word became much more powerful in your life.

I am praying that the heat of summer and the trials of your life do not vex your spirit.
