Special Update and A Time to Fast! |
|
Dear Friends:
This weekend was incredible. I just loved Let the Lion of Judah Roar (the Judah School Kickoff Weekend). The set of messages (DVD’s or CD’s) from Friday night, Saturday (including our Firstfruits Gathering on Saturday night), and all three services on Sunday morning (8:00, 9:00, and 10:30 AM) are now available to order (see below for details). Don’t forget that you can still watch this important Firstfruits Gathering which will be “on demand” today and Wednesday. This is the 1st month …Abib, or Nissan! This is the Passover Month. We will have a special Passover Gathering on April 8. More information will follow on how you can participate in that special service.
UPDATE ON PAM! I want to thank each one of you for praying for Pam and the family. If you can believe it, she has been in the hospital since 1:30AM on Thursday morning. This has been a good reminder of how I depend on her to keep everything running at home. Her kids and grandkids do the same. However, we have all adjusted accordingly. Last night, John Mark cooked for the boys, Isaac and Ethan. Keith and Penny came over and made sure things keep moving and are in order. Rebekah is keeping Chloe (which Pam usually does for Stephanie) on Monday and Friday. Daniel & AmbereHer and Joseph & Cynthia are praying and standing with all of you. I am a great dad! However, I make a C- when it comes to being a mother! All Pam said to me was to not get distracted or try to be a “Martha;” she said I just needed to get my two chapters done for her book! She knows my strengths. They will operate today around 3:00PM to remove her gall bladder in hopes it will bring her pancreas into total restoration and prevent an ordeal like this again.
This Brings Me to the Issue of Fasting. I believe Pam has fasted for all of us over the last several days and now the time has come for us to pick up the standard and carry on a few more weeks. Last Monday, while the team was on the U.S./Mexico Border, I heard the Lord say, “FAST for 21 DAYS!” Now, the Lord has to speak this clearly and loudly for me to hear this call. He said to me, “You are in a war that you have not gained clear strategy for victory.”
Fasting is going without food or drink voluntarily, usually for spiritual purposes. Fasting can be done as a sign of distress, grief, or repentance. In the law, there was only one time designated for fasting. The Day of Atonement, or "the Fast," as it was called in Acts 27:9, was required for sanctification. Moses did not eat bread or drink water during the 40 days and 40 nights he was on Mount Sinai receiving the law (Ex 34:28). Voluntary group fasts (not specified in the law) were engaged in during times of war (Judg 20:26, 1 Sam 7:6). Jehoshaphat called for a fast in all Israel when opposed by the Moabites and Ammonites (2 Chron 20:3). Those about to return with Ezra from the Captivity fasted at the river of Ahava in the face of the dangers faced on the journey (Ezra 8:21,23). Esther and the Jews of Shushan (or Susa) fasted when faced with the destruction planned by Haman (Est. 4:3,16; 9:31). David fasted after hearing that Saul and Jonathan were dead (2 Sam. 1:12). Nehemiah fasted and prayed upon learning that Jerusalem had remained in ruins since its destruction (Neh. 1:4). Darius, the king of Persia, fasted all night after placing Daniel in the lions' den (Dan 6:18).Going without food or water was not always effective in accomplishing the desires of those who fasted. In Isaiah 58:3,4, the people complained that they had fasted and that God had not responded favorably (Isa 58:3-4). Isaiah explained that God needed to choose their fast and results.
There are many ways to fast. You can do a Daniel fast where only fruit and vegetables are your sustenance. You can do a liquid fast. You can fast from an activity. You can do one day or three days. I do not encourage an absolute fast (like Esther) without getting some counseling and medical advice. The real issue is this: “Let God choose! We are in something bigger than we know that must shift now!”
In the New Testament, Anna at the Temple "served God with fastings and prayers night and day" (Luke 2:37). John the Baptist led his disciples to fast (Mark 2:18). Jesus fasted 40 days and 40 nights before His temptation (Matt 4:2). Using a marriage-feast comparison, however, Jesus insisted that fasting was not suitable for His disciples as long as He, the Bridegroom, was with them (Matt 9:14-15; Mark 2:18-20; Luke 5:33-35). Cornelius was fasting at the time of his vision (Acts 10:30). The church in Antioch fasted (Acts 13:2) and sent Paul and Barnabas off on the first missionary journey with fasting and prayer (Acts 13:3). Paul and Barnabas prayed with fasting at the appointment of elders in the churches (Acts 14:23). Paul suggested that husbands and wives might abstain from sexual intercourse to give themselves to fasting and prayer (1 Cor 7:5).
Pam has taken her turn, so you ask the Lord what you should do during the next 21 days to stand corporately for a breakthrough. We would love to hear from you. Let us know by writing chuckp[at]gloryofzion[dot]org or annet[at]gloryofzion[dot]org. We love and appreciate you, and are glad you are in the army with us.
Anne Tate writes the following:
When you looked at me last week when we were in Mexico
and said you would have to begin to go on liquids for 21 days to shift the
physical reactions that were happening in you, the Lord immediately rose up
in me and said that I should do that with you. It completely bypassed
my brain. It was as natural as the body aligning with the decision of the
head. My intercession is centered around breaking the assignment of
infirmity and illness that has persistently pursued you and then seeing the
Body of Christ break into a new release of our Lord’s healing power. I believe
the Lord wants to take us forward as one Man to begin to come up corporately
into a new place of healing. We know we have taken a turn and it is
time to press to establish momentum.
Originally, I had discussed this with several of the Intercessors and we agreed
to start on Monday. After Pam got ill I told many on the Staff what
we were planning to do in order to break the yoke of this assault and captivity
off us. I have left it up to each person to ask the Lord about how they
feel the Lord is leading them to fast. The Office Staff is beginning
on Tuesday.
The Lord also began to speak to me out of Mark 6. The Disciples failed to recognize Jesus when they were in the boat in the night in the middle of the Sea. Jesus walked to them on the Sea and they thought He was a ghost. When they landed, healing was broken through. The current word over us is that we are rehearsing in the night! Therefore, I believe night fasting and praying is important. We need to end up on the land with a breakthrough into a new release of healing – an indiscriminate release to strangers and whomever we encounter - not just those we know and have intense feelings about. There is a dimension of encounter with Jesus that is available to us that the Lord is speaking about to break through hardness of heart. There is a humility of heart that has to happen in me and all us corporately. I am trusting the Lord to work when I align with what He is saying. When I was speaking in Granbury, Texas last week I heard and released a word to them about the overturning of economic structures. This needs fasting at this time. Let’s go for it now!

Let the Lion of Judah Roar! The Judah Kickoff Weekend for the Judah School was just amazing! If you were not able to join us, you can order the complete weekend on DVD or CD. On Friday night, Robert Heidler brought a foundational understanding of the people and tribe of Judah. On Saturday morning I ministered on how and why Judah goes first in not only praise but repentance and leadership. The revelation the Lord gave me on this was incredible.
Allen Faubion taught on the shofar and the significance of its sound. If you do not have the two CDs below on the shofar and the Sounds of the Feasts, get them now! Apostle Elizabeth Hairston loosed the anointing of God through dance and creative expression with such power and authority – indescribable! Dr. Pamela Hardy shared on “Hallal: Why We Dance!”
On Saturday evening at our Firstfruits Gathering we released the blessing of the Hebraic month of Nissan (the time of Abib or Aviv). If you were not able to join us, make sure you watch the free “on demand” replay that is available all day today (Monday) and Wednesday.
All of our services on Sunday morning are also included in the weekend set. We opened the way with powerful intercession and prophecy, as well as a time of commissioning. In the “Power of Lift” service we continued with powerful worship and a spontaneous, prophetic demonstration of the account of Gideon through sound, song, dance and action. WOW! Apostle Elizabeth Hairston, Dr. Pamela Hardy and the “Judah worshippers” joined me in this unique release of sound and story. Then we concluded with our “Power of Use” service with wild worship (remember, to “hallal” means to praise the Lord with a vibrant, exuberant declaration) and a revelational message from Robert Heidler on the origins of Zion, the Tabernacle of David, and the people who will see this Tabernacle raised today.
Don’t miss your opportunity to order the complete CD or DVD set from this Judah School Weekend ($35 for the CD set; $50 for the DVD set).
We will also have a key print for each Tribe and Month that will be available to you. Here is the Judah Print (the Hebraic Month of Abib/Nissan)!
Amber Pierce has created two new items for this new year: a perfume for women and a cologne for men. The perfume for women is Secret Chambers, and the cologne for men is Roar of Judah! This is a year to taste and see the Lord is good. Allow Him to develop all of your senses so you smell like Heaven is calling you to smell!
Blessings,
Chuck D. Pierce

Sound the Shofar - by Allen Faubion (Now with Updated and Expanded Teaching!)
| |
| The Spirit of God is moving throughout the earth and among God’s people to bring forth significant shifts and change. He is sending forth into the earth a sound to open the portals between heaven and earth. This sound of the Lord causes the heavenly realm to move on the earth and it opens the way for those on the earth to move in the heavenlies. From the earliest of times God chose the ram’s horn or “shofar” as one of His instruments to release this sound. Awesome things take place when the shofar sounds according to the command of the Lord God Almighty. Walls fall down (Jericho), enemies are destroyed (Gideon), the presence of God manifests (Sinai), and God’s people enter into the covenant cycle of blessing God has prepared for us (Feasts). On this CD, Allen Faubion both shares on and demonstrates the power and anointing of sounding the shofar according to the command of the Lord. Sound the Shofar! ($10) |

Letting Go by LeAnn Squier
| |
|
There is a sound in the Throne of Heaven that calls to us in the Earth
to let go and worship. One of our most difficult
calls in life is to LET GO and LET GOD. LeAnn Squier has captured
that sound of release. Letting Go is one of the most
beautiful expressions of freedom and joy that I have ever heard. Imagine
yourself floating through space or walking on water. This Gospel
Music Association award winner for Songwriter
of the Year helps to bring Heaven's expression into
your living room, car, bedroom, office and heart. The songs and
sounds on this project are a must to help us lose control of our desire
and experience HIS desire for us. We invite you to enter in with One
Magnificent Song, let your heart be exposed, let the thoughts
of your mind be released, and let your hands be raised in surrender
to the King of all kings. The special sound that has been achieved on
Blackbird expresses the cry of a nation for freedom. This song,
written by the Beatles about the cry of a young Black girl for
freedom in the 1960's, was chosen by LeAnn well before this election
season. The prophetic dimension of this compilation of songs for this
time surpasses most worship expressions in this day and hour. Savor
the sound of Letting GO! |

| True worshippers are those who worship in Spirit and in truth. When we find this place in Him, we find reality. Last year we released Freed to Enter the Glory Realm. This year is a different year. We are coming to the end of a season, and we must have a mentality of TRIUMPH. Descending in Triumph is profound! The music that the Glory of Zion International Worship Team has brought forth will amaze you. You have to “GO UP” to “GO FORTH” in TRIUMPH! This collection has some awesome songs that will propel you into the sound for the year ahead. “Sing Oh Barren One” (Hannah’s Song) by Tiffany & Aaron Smith stirs your heart to break forth in song and break out of desolation. “Strike the Doorpost,” led by John Dickson, is an incredible song that reminds you that we can praise our way through every entry way or new gate that we come to throughout the year. LeAnn Squier and Chad Foxworth remind us with a new rendition of “Amazing Grace” that even though we’ve been through many trials, His grace has always been there and will be there to keep us going forth this year. Many other prophetic utterances and new songs will cause your faith to come alive and give you new strength to move forward in 2009. Get this CD now! Special Price: $12 (regularly $15). |
